Medical Director

Dr. Robert Moss, M.D.

Our Medical Director Dr. Moss has been working with our residents and staff at Harbor House since 2010. Dr. Moss has over 35 years’ experience working in geriatrics and specializes in Alzheimer’s/Dementia Diagnosis. Dr. Moss has over 25 published papers, many of which are Alzheimer’s focused, and has devoted much of his time to research and educating others through invited lectures and presentations.  

Specialty Board Certifications:

2010 Hospice and Palliative Care Board Certification, American Board of Family Practice Certification and Recertification, Geriatric Medicine Board Certification and Recertification, Certified Medical Director, American Medical Directors Association (AMDA).

Dr. Moss is currently listed as a “Top Doctor” since 2002 in Chicago Top Doctor (Castle Connolly Guide) and the Consumer Research Council of America.

Psychiatry Director

Dr. Valerie King-Ernst, D.O.

Our Psychiatrist Dr. Ernst has been working with our residents and staff at Harbor House since 2010. Dr. Ernst oversees and provides clinical psychiatric services and medication management for our residents. Dr. Ernst is the founder and president of Adult Mental Health Service Inc. and has practiced in nursing home and memory care  settings since 2007.

Dr. Ernst received the Rising Star Physician Award in 2008 at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and Outstanding Medical Student Teacher Award in 2004 at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Ernst has devoted her time teaching and educating others on Bipolar Affective Disorder and Schizophrenia.

Podiatrist

Dr. Carle Rollins, DPM.

Our Podiatrist Dr. Rollins has been working with our residents and staff at Harbor House since 1995. Dr. Rollins has over 41 years’ experience in general practice and specializes in sports medicine, orthopedics and geriatrics.

Dr. Rollins is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.
