What We Do
The Harbor House Mission of nourishing the spirit and embracing life is evident in all that we do. By providing a peaceful and supportive environment for those requiring special care we can make a difference.
A positive environment can provide an enhanced quality of life for those suffering from dementia disorders and families can rest assured that their loved one is receiving care in an environment designed specifically with them in mind.
One size does not fit all … Our care program is tailored to meet the needs of those affected with a dementia diagnosis including Alzheimer’s disease, Frontal-Temporal dementia, Vascular dementia and Primary Progressive Aphasia.
Enhancing Quality of Life
Harbor House has developed its own unique programs to meet our resident’s needs. Our approach to resident centered care helps create more satisfying days and meaningful lives for residents and peace of mind for families.
Our program provides extensive hands on coordination and monitoring of the services required to support the health and well-being of residents. Our program provides high levels of personal attention while addressing both the clinical and psychosocial issues related to dementia.
Expertise You Can Rely On
We understand the varying needs that result from a specific disease and how to make life more meaningful and pleasant. This approach bolsters self-worth and creates a true failure free, less threatening world for those with memory loss. The use of gentle strategies, such as redirection, coaching, cueing and task segmentation, help residents feel good about themselves and their accomplishments.
Every home needs a foundation and ours is fulfillment. Our residents wake each day with a fresh start to the full schedule that we offer.
Harbor House is a secured environment without the feeling of being restrictive. Each of the three houses on our campus provides a home like living environment with the freedom to enjoy the extensive grounds in a safe environment. Residents may participate in activities in any of the homes and enjoy visits with each other. We promote independence and quality of life in an individualized and supportive environment.
